Cabra Borracha is a Texas-made creative brand built around art, photography, and uniquely designed apparel. It was created by me, Treavor Evans, an artist and photographer based in Manvel, Texas, just outside Houston.
The Name: Where Does "Cabra Borracha" Come From?
Cabra Borracha is Spanish for "drunken goat." I know — it's a weird name for a creative brand. But that's kind of the point.
I'm a Capricorn. The Capricorn symbol is a goat. And the best ideas I've ever had came from those relaxed, free-flowing moments when I stopped overthinking and just let my mind wander — like a drunk goat with nowhere to be and nothing to prove.
The drunk goat is a metaphor for creative freedom. It's what happens when you stop filtering yourself and just make something. And that's exactly the energy I try to bring to everything I create under this brand.
What Does Cabra Borracha Create?
Cabra Borracha is a creative outlet for three things I'm genuinely passionate about:
1. Original Paintings
I paint. Mostly landscapes and nature-inspired pieces — things I've seen on fishing trips, hikes, road trips through Texas and beyond. Each piece is original, made by hand, and painted with acrylic. You can find prints and originals available through Fine Art America.
2. Photography
I've been shooting photos for years — Texas landscapes, nature, travel, and anything that catches my eye when I have a camera in hand. My photography shows up throughout this site, and prints are available for purchase.
3. T-Shirt Designs
The Bodega (our online shop) is where you'll find the Cabra Borracha apparel line — graphic tees sold on Amazon, designed with the same random, eclectic spirit that started this whole thing. From Texas-themed designs to quotes that just make you laugh, every shirt is made to be worn by someone who doesn't take life too seriously.
Who is Treavor Evans?
I'm a 50-year-old guy from Manvel, Texas who spent 15 years working in IT and managed to hold onto the creative side of his brain the entire time. I paint in my spare time, I fish whenever I can, and I started this brand because I wanted a place to put all the random creative stuff that lives in my head.
I'm not a formally trained artist. I'm not a professional photographer. I'm just someone who loves making things and figured — why not share it?
Why "Texas Sourced, Crafted with Love"?
That tagline says it all. Most of the inspiration for everything I make comes straight from Texas — the landscapes, the culture, the food, the people. And every piece I create, whether it's a painting, a photo print, or a t-shirt design, is made with real care.
